I have found its performance just as good in IE as it was in Firefox. The flashplayer 10.1 RC2 is out now (google adobe labs). One last thing, if you use add-ons a lot then you're likely to be a bit stranded with IE, there dosen't seem to be as much expandability as firefox (but don't quote me! I'm new to IE!) The only thing I haven't checked yet is whether it lets you have custom zoom levels for different webpages. IE also lets you adjust the zoom (but perhaps it uses a different method to render the screen?) because it's much quicker. (going in and out of fullscreen on firefox is quite slow on the asrock). It's fullscreen option is also much smoother than firefox's. I just put win7 on mine (stock hardware) and I actually found IE (which came with win7) to be much quicker scrolling on webpages (even those with flash content running). I hadn't thought of that, but being able to read from far away is something I cannot be without. Interesting that you noticed a speed increase when resetting the zoom to 100% in firefox.

As others have said, the Atom cpu is quite limited really and that's the cause. I feel the same, browsing the net is mostly a restrained experience, it definitely requires more patience than using a normal desktop or laptop. Im so glad someone finally wanted to talk about web-browsing using this pc! I've asked a few times but no one ever answered.
